Small Actions, Big Impact: Ogury’s Global Community Day

At Ogury, giving back isn’t just an occasional effort but a fundamental part of our company. That belief led us to launch our Global Community Day in 2022, an initiative designed to encourage employees to volunteer one day per year to support their local communities. Driven by the spirit of solidarity, this initiative is a unique opportunity to reaffirm our values and leave a positive mark on the local communities where we live and work. 

A Day Devoted to Giving Back

Global Community Days are more than just a day of service - they are a chance for Ogury employees worldwide to step outside their daily routines and connect with their communities meaningfully. Each year, our teams dedicate one workday to volunteering for local non-profit organizations, contributing to causes that resonate with them. Whether helping at a food bank, participating in environmental cleanups, or organizing drives for those in need, every employee’s contribution helps reaffirm Ogury’s commitment to social responsibility.

Our Efforts Around the World 

This year, employees across our global offices took part in a variety of impactful initiatives including:

• Supporting sick children and their families at the Ronald McDonald Foundation in Barcelona by setting up a charity market and tidying up warehouses.
• Working with an animal shelter in France to feed and care for stray cats. 
• Collecting surplus food to sort, pack and load for delivery to food banks with Kölner Tafel in Germany. 
• Picking up litter and weeding at a local park in NYC.
• Attending Career Days at a local school in Singapore.

Impact in Numbers 

Since the launch of our Global Community Days in 2022, Ogury employees have touched the lives of thousands of individuals through our volunteer work, leaving a lasting mark on the communities we serve. Nicolas Perret, a Sr. Software Engineer in our Paris office, believes his Community Day “provided a meaningful opportunity to engage with the community. For me, Community Day is a valuable initiative that allows employees to contribute to causes they care about while also stepping away from regular work responsibilities.”
